Curiosities

Japanese cuisine is known for its rigorous taxonomy: each form of marinade, broth, fish or meat cutting is designated by a precise name. This also applies to sauces… But not quite. Some concoctions cannot be classified into any of the rather classic categories we have chosen. That is why we created the category "Curiosities".

Here you will find the least traditional sauces, those that we cannot designate as "soy sauce" or "ponzu". Less noble, less ancient, these preparations are also the most playful, the most indulgent, and the spiciest: sauces for meats with grilled onions or sesame, sauces gently or wickedly spiced, liquid smoke… We let you discover all of that.
