Sakura Blossom Liquid Smoke

Highly appreciated in Japan, the aroma of cherry blossom wood or "sakura" is used to flavor salts, sauces, teas, and pastries; it can even be found in a limited edition of Kit Kat (available only there). The sakura wood contains subtly floral, fresh, and sweet notes; a scent close to a dream and just as ephemeral. 

This liquid smoke has the magical quality of concentrating the essence of Japan in spring, when cherry blossoms tint the landscape pink and release their delicate fragrance… to the delight of the onlookers gathered at their feet. Much more than an infused water, it is an invitation to seize the beauty of the moment, but also its fragility.

Usage: A tablespoon of this liquid smoke made from cherry blossom stems and leaves will beautifully awaken an entire liter of broth. It can also be used to moisten foods (especially meats and fish) before cooking, for a subtly (scented) touch.

Storage: Plastic pouch to be kept away from light, heat, and humidity. Ideally refrigerated after opening.
