Nori sheets with Ume Plum

On the list of products you ask us for the most, ramen takes the top spot, but nori seaweed chips are right on its heels. After months of research, we’re proud to offer you these nori seaweed chips flavored with Japanese ume plums. They’re delicious, of course: fragrant, toasted, and just the right amount of salty. Be warned! The forty sheets disappear extremely quickly once the package is opened.
These chips come from a company specializing in nori seaweed called Isoya. They’re made with seaweed harvested from the Ariake Sea, in the very south of Japan. The waters of this small inland sea are renowned for their low salinity and one of the world’s greatest tidal ranges: there’s a difference of about six meters between high and low tide. These ideal conditions allow the seaweed to absorb plenty of nutrients and very little salt, resulting in melt-in-your-mouth sheets with delicate flavors.

Usage: Enjoy as a snack on their own or as an appetizer—they’re delicious with a dry sake.
They’re also great for cooking: paired with a little white rice and cucumber, for example, they’re wonderful.

Storage: Store away from light, heat, and humidity.
