The Torii company designed this sauce with a very specific scenario in mind. In families, children do not always want to eat spicy curry. Parents therefore have to prepare a mild curry. But if these caring parents still want to eat spicy curry, they can mix this sauce into their portion. This way, it’s spicy for the adults and the kids don’t have a tearful coughing fit.
We applaud this initiative with all its Japanese sophistication. But in our humble opinion, this sauce is excellent in a whole bunch of other situations: with cabbage or hot and cold udon noodles, with fried meats and fish, on omelets, on white or fried rice, bibimbap...
